Dova is a non-clinical service and does not provide psychotherapy, diagnosis, or treatment. Our role is limited to administrative coordination, client notifications, referral support, and record-related processes as authorized by the clinician—services that are generally permitted across states.
That said, licensing board expectations can vary by state. Clinicians are responsible for ensuring that the use of Dova’s services aligns with their specific board’s rules. Based on our current understanding, most licensing boards allow non-clinical administrative support services like those provided by Dova, though some states may have additional or more specific requirements.
